Please read all sections of this page carefully. By using Maths Forge, you, the user agree to everything written in this section titled "Terms of Service".
1. Access Rights. Users who register and are approved will have access manager accounts. Managers can create accounts for teachers. Teachers will have access to teacher accounts only. Managers and teachers have the ability to create student accounts. Students will have access to student accounts only. Accounts are not to be shared with other users at any time. Only the user of an account will have the right access to their account. Maths Forge reserves the right to remove any or all accounts should any terms of service be broken. Maths Forge also reserves the right to restrict access to any or all accounts should it be in the best interest of Maths Forge or its developer ForgeNova. Such interests include but are not limited to: Use of bots/scripts, account sharing, failure to pay, denial of service attacks (DDOS), suspected denial of service attacks, suspicious behavour that is intended to harm the operation of Maths Forge and its services.
2. Retrieval of Data. If users accidentally or intentionally delete accounts, homework, user details or any other form of data, Maths Forge will try to be as accomodating as possible in the retrieval of data where possible. However, Maths Forge reserves the right to not retrieve any data if it does not have the resources to allocate or facilitate such a task. The time set for data retrieval is up to 4 weeks but can take longer than this during busy periods.
3. Duplication of accounts. If a school account or user account is somehow duplicated. Maths Forge reserves the right to delete one of the duplicated accounts. The effort will be made to identify which account is desired by the user or school before deletion takes place. However, if Maths Forge recieves no reply after trying to contact the user or school, account deletion can take place at any time thereafter.
4. Glitches, Errors and Bugs. Maths Forge endeavours to fix all glitches, errors and bugs on the platform. However, where glitches, errors and bugs are found by the user, reports can be made to Maths Forge by clicking on the "support" link located on the bottom of the user's dashboard. Glitches, errors or bugs cannot be used by the user as grounds for a refund if no effort has been made by the user to alert Maths Forge of the glitches, bugs or errors. Maths Forge will try to fix glitches, bugs and errors brought forward by the user in a timely manner. During busy periods, it could take Maths Forge longer to fix such problems.
5. Refund. Users have up to 7 days to request a refund after paying to use Maths Forge.
6. Cancellation. Once a user's account passes the refund period of 7 days. A request by the user to cancel or delete their account will result in the account remaining active until the end of the contract. A request for immediate deletion can be made by the user. However, a refund will not be granted for the remaining time left on the contract. Requests for cancelation must be made one month prior to desired date of cancellation i.e. if a user wishes to cancel on April 10th, a request must be made by March 10th. A cancellation will process in 30 callender days.
7. Renewal. A user or school's account will automatically be renewed unless there is a request to cancel the subscription by the user or school.
1. Data Stored.
On Maths Forge, we store the following information:Schools: Name, address, phone number and email address
Teachers: Name, School, Classes, Email Address, Encrypted Password
Students: Name, School, Encrypted Password and Scores
Passwords can not be viewed by any individual other than the school's teachers.
2. Encryption and Protection. Maths Forge uses highly secure hashing algorithms (SHA's) for data stored in the database. In the unlikely scenario of a data breach, all data accessed by an outside source is encrypted and will be unreadable in terms of text and characters.
3. Data Back Up. Maths Forge periodically securely saves and stores the data on a daily basis should a rollback be required.
4. Verification of User. Maths Forge admins manually check and inquire users who have signed up to Maths Forge. We check that they are part of a recognised education institute such as a school or college. No usernames or passwords are sent from our system to users at any time or in any way. Once a school is verified, teacher accounts can be created by the designated school manager. Managers and teachers of a school will then have the ability to create student accounts.
5. Data Deletion.A school's manager has the ability to delete teacher accounts and student accounts, a school's teacher has the ability to delete student accounts. Individual users can also request their accounts and information to be deleted by emailing the support team of Maths Forge. "Support", a link on the bottom of a user's dashboard can be clicked on to get in touch with a Maths Forge support admin.
6. How Long Data is Stored. If an account is not used or accessed by a user for up to two years, the account data and information will be automatically deleted from the Maths Forge database.
7. Use of Data by external sources. User data stored on the Maths Forge database will never be given or sold to third parties. Cookies are stored by Maths Forge in order to enhance the user's experience and save them time when loading up sections of the website they have already visited. Users have the option to reject these cookies or accept them.
